Over the past weeks I have made some progress in my garden. I enlisted the help of one of my friends who has grown a garden in the past. He has helped me and given me some good ideas to keep going smoothly. He suggested laying down a cloth mat that keeps weeds from growing between the rows so I won't have to weed all summer long. He also said that some flowers like marigolds repel insects and advised to plant some at the end of rows instead of spraying chemicals. The seedlings are outside and some are almost big enough to transplant into the ground. With any luck the weather will stay warm and they will be in the soil soon. My genius hour project is coming to an end but I plan to continue work throughout the summer to have a successful harvest.
